Beautiful work. You embody that aesthetic I love so much about Japanese art where simple is never boring and subtle is beautiful. I only wish I could comment on the sound of your instruments as well!

Thank you Jamin-san.
I always think about "well organized, not too much" designs so that my customers never get tired of the guitar.

End trim and binding jobs.

Making the raised fingerboard neck.

A close-up view of the raised section.

The whole neck looks dirty since this photo was taken just after pore filling...
Anyways the neck is pretty much done.

The neck looks really fine... what kind of woods did you use?
The last pic is suggestive of a negative neckangle too or is this only the objective of the camera?

Thank you.
I used spanish cedar and pear wood.
Good point. Yes, it is negative.
The major purpose of raised fingerboard is making the neck angle negative to convert the X axis moment at the bridge to Y axis moment.
A little bit better access to the high frets is only a by-product.

(Sorry about my poor English... It's hard to explain it... Anyways the reason why I do raised fingerboard is for the tone.)

Ryo

My English is even poorer but I get your point I know about it, because Miss Maple is built in a similar way ... and I join every time playing this guitar...( I'm not, if you've seen it...)

Cool! Miss Maple looks gorgeous!
I like the the brace pattern and the classical guitar taste looking.
Very nice.
