I would absolutely give Ameritage the first shot at making it right:

I also know Elderly has them as well ! their basically replacement suitcase handles - they have a strap with a buckell on each end .

I think Armitage will make it right -give them a call .

Wish I could agree but my experience was less satisfactory . The handle on my almost new Ameritage case was tearing at the buckles so I contacted them to ask for a replacement. They said they would not honor this as a warranty claim as I had not filled in my warranty card. That is not a legal excuse in Australia but maybe it is in the USA.

So I had a new handle installed at a local luggage repair shop here in Oz and am very happy with it. Importantly, these guys replaced the original “D” shaped buckles with rectangular buckles, and I am sure that the new buckles place less stress on the edges of the handle, which is where the original handle was tearing.

it is not a legal excuse in the USA either. But who wants to fight with a manufacturer. I just had to register my frigging ameritage case that came with my McPherson guitar because I heard they are ball busters if you dont register the case.. The case comes with a humidification system. LOL
