Default Needed; a simple lick, or riff ..

I am lick, riff, stupid.

I've been working on scales, chords, finger picking.. on and on ..

Figured it was time I started into licks, and riffs..

I did some u tube looking, the players seem to go too fast, and
I got frustrated.

Can you give me a couple of very, very very simple licks.. and
riffs..

Just a get started kinda thing..

Get me going..

I forgot to add.. with the simple lick ... can you explain what makes a lick, or riff.. and how to build one..

Info such as key, etc ?

A riff can be practically any short series of notes that is repeated within a song. Like a hook, it can tie parts of a piece together, but a hook tends to be more essential and extended (a phrase with a melody line and/or chord sequence and that is an essential part of the song). A lick is like a riff but may occur just once in a song.
Here is an example of a little lick I use in one of my tunes:

A riff is a musical phrase repeated over and over, Think "Day Tripper" by the Beatles or any number of ZZ Top songs, "Sharp Dressed Man" "Tush" etc.

A lick is a short phrase, usually one or two bars long, used in phasing a lead. Here is video I grabed at random from Youtube containing a couple of standard blues licks.
