Default new, to me, guitars and my amp build

i've recently acquired a 1996 Fender 50th Anniversary Stratocaster, a 2004-5 Jackson DK2, a Boss Me50 multi-effects pedal and a Roland Cube60D amp. Pedal and amp not shown. here is the situation:

i recently smelled gas in the kitchen so i called the gas co. the guy who came out saw my old radio collection and said he had a couple of guitars and an amp that he was trying to sell to raise money for his son's little league team. a couple days later he brought them over and i purchased them. i felt i got a good deal and it felt good to help provide for his son's team.

also, i have built my first amp. even tho i've repaired quite a few, building one is another story. it is my "snakeskin" amp made by Vuejaday Music, my registered name for a website i'm building. the amp is a 58 fender deluxe clone with one channel having mods to give it a sort of marshall-ish sound. additionally, i've added a 3-way switch to give 1. more headroom 2. a little more grit and 3. much more grit. so, with the 4 inputs and a 3 way switch, i have a multitude of sounds out of one amp.

Sweet! What kind of mod did you do to get it more 'Marshall-ish'.

dru: i think you are on the tele forum, tdpri. a guy who goes by robrob has posted the mods. here are the links to the mods i did.

if you look further on the page you'll see his brilliant layout of a deluxe clone build without the mods.

Very nice indeed. Good call on adding some switchable mods to extend the original circuit and beautifully finished. Looks like a very well planned and executed project

thanks to all! especially you moon as i know you've done a couple of these projects.

i now am considering a new project with an ao43 amp, ao42 preamp, a reverb pan and two 12" heppner speakers, one ribbed for the bass and one smooth for the higher frequencies. these are from a 1965 hammond L112 organ pull.
