do you live close to where you shop?
For 7 years I literally lived next door to a grocery store and I was spoiled rotten. Even though now I live only 3 miles away from where I buy my groceries I do miss living right next door to where we used to shop. What does make shopping difficult my wife doesn't drive.
Do you live close to where you shop and is it an important issue for you?

We do not live close at all. About a 45 minute drive. We make a menu for two weeks and get two weeks worth of groceries every two weeks.

North London, 24 hour grocery shopping, virtually on my doorstep, all year round.
Beats me why I don't get fat. . . |

10 mile drive to nearest town with any kind of shopping. 30 mile drive to Tulsa. We do have a local gas station/general store. But rarely go there as prices are high.

We pop over to France to buy our groceries. It's cheaper and only three miles down the road.

We're about 10 miles from several grocery stores. About an hour from the closest shopping center.

Groceries pretty close. Only go once a week so distance is no big deal. Buy my clothes from Maine and my musical supplies from Michigan and never leave my house to do it.

Clothes from Maine? Interesting. Are they better there? What store/brand? Please advise. Just curious, not challenging.

There's a general store about 15 miles up the concession that has most everything anyone could ever need. Things there cost a little bit more but the drive into town uses a lot of fuel and you're lucky to get outta there alive plus there's always something you forgot and have to go back for so it works out about the same anymore. The general store was closed during the depression which was kinda rough but then we didn't have no cash back then to buy nuthin with anyway.

I suppose you could call the place a live a suburb of sorts. Small grocery shop about 5 minutes walk away. A couple of bigger places about 15 minutes walk from the door.

I'm just a few miles from the grocery store and the malls / Costco. Close enough for a quick drive but too far to walk.

The nearest supermarket is about 17 miles from home. But the one where I shop is an easy side trip on my way home from the office. I go there about once a week, and the distance from home is not an issue. In my local city, I would not want to live in any neighborhood that's an easy walk to a grocery store.

One of the best parts of living in a sleepy little beach town is we are walking distance to almost everything. Supermarket is a couple of blooks away. Our downtown shopping village is walking distance.
