There is no chance so large a creature could have evaded detection for so long, there is not a shred of physical evidence, hair, droppings, bones etc. There may be lots of woods out there but people prowl around every nook and cranny of them. Sorry. It may be just my opinion but it is also a fact. There is one wolverine in California and it shows up on game cameras every so often.
