Default Walnut Larrivee Parlor

I have a chance to get a new walnut Larrivee Parlor guitar for around $395. Does anyone who is familiar with the Larrivees know if this is a good price? There are very few Larrivee dealers in my area and it's hard to compare. You can answer here or email me at [email protected].

Thanks!

According to the Larrivee price list (at www.larriveeguitars.com)

O-01 MH Parlor Guitar - Solid South American Mahogany $729.00
O-01 RW Parlor Guitar - Solid Indian Rosewood $855.00
O-01 FM Parlor Guitar - Solid Canadian Flamed Maple $829.00
O-01 KA Parlor Guitar - Solid Hawaiian Koa $878.00

Those are all with the gig bag (hard shell case is another $75).

They don't have walnut listed, but I imagine it's more than the mahogany, so you're getting a good deal.

There are no reviews on Harmony Central, so I think they're pretty rare.

I'd say go for it if you like it. It sounds like a sweet deal.

Phil,

That seems like a pretty good price. Check to see whether it is old stock (no abalone rosette or maple body binding) or new stock. There was also an in between phase of maple body binding w/o the abalone rosette. Either way, it seems like a pretty good price. Case come with it?

Those prices are with a GIG BAG, not a case.
Just FYI

You are absolutely right, and I have edited my previous post to reflect that. Thanks for your astute eye.

That is a good price, and if you decide to pass it up, let me know so I can get it. The three best sounding Larrivees I've ever played have all been walnuts.

My walnut parlor was my favorite of them too. I did end up selling it on Ebay, for more than that price I think (the memory is fuzzy). Anyway, seems like a good deal.
