Crate makes a real decent acoustic combo amp for under two benjamins.

GC (doh!) carries them as do many other retailers.

You might try the Roland Cube 30. It uses a 10" speaker, though. It has a number of digital sound processing settings including acoustic, JC (Jazz), Blackface (Fender), in addition to distortion (stack, rectifier). The Cube 60 uses a 12".

Have to agree with Matt.

Look for TUBES -- you'll be glad you did. The Peavey is great. Or you might find a used Fender Blues Jr in your price range. Couple of years ago I got a used Fender Blues Deluxe for $300. But most important -- get a TUBE amp!

The new price for a Blues Jr is under 4 bills. Very loud amp for 15 watts!
