Default ngd- the wait

My new Taylor 322e 12 fret looks like it will be delivered today. It has been suggested I wait 6-12 hours to open it. Well dang. Can't wait.

Depends on the temperature and where it came from, but rather be safe than sorry. Enjoy!

Congratulations!
You do not have to wait even 6 minutes.
You can open the case, tune it up, and start playing it immediately.

Maybe you should take 6 hours to open it. Just a little bit at a time. Cut the tape. Get some coffee. Open a flap. Feed the dog. Open two flaps. Take a walk. & so on...

A little perspective here. Know what's worse than having to wait on a new guitar?

Not getting to wait on a new guitar any time soon!

The weather has warmed up a bit in most of the country but I would still be aware of the temps from the departing location to your home. I recently got my Taylor 916 from Sweetwater and it was 32 degrees when mine left Indiana. It was FedEx'd overnight and temps here were in the high forties. I waited 12 hours. It was a long wait but worth it.

Thanks, that's very kind. I look forward to hearing from you! On the other hand, I'm very blessed to have the guitars I now have.

It's here in the box. I am busy all day so that should help with the wait. Tomorrow I will have some quality time with it.

That's a form of torture, actually.

I was busy all day and didn't get to unpack it until late that night. The sound out off the gate is everything I had hoped for. Can't wait until the weekend so I can spend some quality time with it. So far the playability is fantastic.
