Default post your taylor gs mini koa

Hi this is my first post i recently bought this guitar and i am amazed at the tone for such a small instrument. What also struck me about this model variant is the huge variety in appearance between guitars i have seen everything from pale spruce lookalikes to dark chocolate examples that could almost pass for mahogany. My guitar looks quite red in natural light. Some examples have beautiful figuring, flaming or a prominent line of sapwood.Regardless of the looks they sound fantastic so whether yours is plain or a work of art post a picture in this thread as a reference guide.

Default Taylor GS Mini-e Koa

^ - Very nice - Congratulations!

I totally agree that the GS Mini-e Koa tone is just amazing for the size and price! Mine is, by a very wide margin, the best sub-$1,000 guitar I have ever played. Looks nice too.

I bought this in January and these are shots from the shop where I bought it. I've replaced the bridge pins with Taylor ebony pins with abalone inserts, and have an ebony TRC with an inlay en route, and I'll post shots of those and the sides when I install the TRC.

Thanks! I bought it flying through the air (in a jet) but that's another story.

An interesting one, I'm sure. I'm basically stalking Sweetwater to see if they post any new Koa's.

Check out Willcutt Guitars. They have over 40 in stock right now. That's where I got mine. I'm a Sweetwater customer too, but Willcutt has tremendous volume on Koa GS Minis.

Just picked up one this week. I hadn't expected the variation on the fretboard as well, but there are some nice patterns there as well.
