I am another person who thinks walnut sounds REALLY nice.

I am pretty impressed with the sound guitars that have Port Orford Cedar tops. Haven't played many of them, but love the ones I've played, and love the one I own.

Sapele and walnut for me. My 000-15 is sapele and it is a fantastic tone wood and I personally like the stripes. I also love walnut. The Gibson j15 is fantastic and walnut is beautiful. My next banjo will be walnut for sure.

Osage is great, but I almost prefer quartered oak. Sadly, it's hard to sell, but it makes a great sounding guitar.

My nylon string has cypress back and sides......I love the way it looks and sounds. It's got a European spruce top, so I'm sure most of the sound is the spruce

I've always wanted an oak guitar.

Love walnut too.

Wonder if Elm makes a good tonewood?

Bloodwood and mesquite are two that I've tried and liked. I also like walnut, but that's pretty common.

I like the way Walnut looks and sounds.

I also recently played a Furch special edition with Mango. I couldn't distinguish too much about the effect it had on the sound relative to other factors... But it looked really cool!

Just traded away a Kevin Clark with Tamarind back and sides and Red Adirondak top. Sounded great but I guess I didn't love it enough not to trade it for a Cedar/Rosewood Stonebridge. So many guitars...so little time & $$$.

Sure like walnut, and the Irish boys seem to really know how to make it sing!
