Need reso recommendation
HI, could someone please recommend a good wood body spider cone resonator. I know national makes them, but I cant afford one(not even used). Im hoping to find one for less than a grand, the lower the better. Thanks!

Have a look at the gretsch bobtail and/or boxcar. Definitely try before you buy tho. I've tried about four, two were pretty good, the other two not so much. I was trying the squarenecks, not the round necks, though.

Goldtone Paul Beard roundneck cutaway is a good one. You can probably get it for just a little bit over a grand new. Model PBR-CA I think. I had one and it was great. Set up was good, volume was ok, tone was pretty good. I paid $1069 out the door after I took in some internet stores' price listings into my neighborhood dealer.
