Default Fishman Platinum EQ Analog DI

Got the Fishman Pro Platinum Analog EQ. As the picture shows, it's still in the plastic. Never used. Never played. Never Demo'd. Never taken out of box/plastic I use this pedal at church all the time. (Not THIS pedal, FYI) and its a great pedal. Very slick looking. Has a tuner built in and runs off a 9v batter. Sorry for the bluntness of the fact that its new lol I still get emails of "what's the condition?"

$206 shipped. Firm.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Default Free ride to the top

Just got one of these from Matt. It's killer. the tuner is more accurate than my 8 octave orchestral tuner. Also matts a great guy to deal with and because of that take it to the top.

Default Can you give me sonic details please?

So I'm very interested but there's absolutely no reviews or threads that tell oh how this baby sounds?

Also, is the tuner any good?

I have a Taylor 810 with a Baggs Dual Source in it and run a Baggs PADI, but want a better transformer section plus mute and boost. Considering this guy but also the Venue or a Radial Pz Pre

Any help would be greatly appreciated sir

Wish I could help more but mine won't be here until sometime this week. I've got the Baggs Anthem SL dual source. I considered the Venue, but I like the tuner setup on this unit better, and definitely wanted a quick way to mute, and the boost and compression features sold me. Guess I'll try to post something when I'm able to mess with it a bit.

I got it dialed in for my Genz Benz Shenandoah 80LT here at home when I got it last week and my amp has never sounded better.
I used it in church Sunday and with the very limited time I had before the service I was able to get the best sound I've had at church yet. I used a Taylor 210e through a cheapo DI box before I got my Martin, and this Martin MMV/Anthem SL/Fishman Platinum is light years better, of course.
I found I was able to blend in the Anthem mic more with this Fishman box without getting as tinny as when I was going straight to the board the week before. Not exactly sure to what I can attribute that just yet, but I like it as I had it set pretty low before.
I had the volume middled when I first started dialing it in and was getting a lot of noise in my hearback, but lowering the board and cranking the box did away with that.
I like the tuner visually, although it seemed like it wasn't set up to be ultra-precise since every string snapped perfectly to tune. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. I didn't have my Korg with me to check against.
In the church setting, the compression setting was killer. While most of what I play is strumming, during the softer songs I'm not looking to stick out, and the compression wasn't over the top - effective but subtle enough to allow me to set it pretty high.
I like the Brilliance feature a lot. I was expecting this to be more of just a second way to boost the highs, and while it does create some sparkle, I found it to bring some lushness across the spectrum. I set it pretty high and dialed back the highs a bit to allow for it.
Here's the biggie, though. I never had any feedback issues, so I wasn't able to test any of the notch or phase features. I probably won't touch them until I use the box in another setting - open mic at our local establishment, perhaps.
Overall, very happy with it and it's built like a tank.

Agreed. I use LR Baggs Anthems in my acoustic and they go amazingly with the Fishman Platinum EQ. I actually have 1 more for sell.
