Default While we wait...

Kevin is mixing color and coming up with techniques...very involving! Until the shading is done here is a flute pic to hold us over!

Alas the flutes... so very cool. I don't remember where I saw Kevin's guitars, but they were the first "boutique" luthier guitars that I remember seeing just before I discovered the AGF. Since then, I've been able to play a couple of them, meet the man himself and neither were a disappointment. I've been drooling ever since. You are a fortunate man indeed.

Default Kevin has done it!

Kevin sent me a picture yesterday...a picture that blew my mind. The kind of shading that I want, that Kevin and I have been discussing is almost a contradiction...deep yet soft, subtle but alive, incredibly gentle with a clear artistic presence...

This was the text from Kevin that followed the picture...
"It was a nightmare to achieve this level of fading out. I think that is why you almost never see it done. But I think I have the secret..."

I'm not going to post that picture...the process belongs to Kevin and it's not for me to publicize. The next pictures you'll see will be of my guitar shaded. It is going to be ridiculously cool and I can't wait!
