Default Ready for pick-up ...

Appreciate all the comments and you folks following along..

Call me excited!!! Bill called me to inform my Crescendo is done. Wow! 3 1/2 months start to finish. That is beyond incredible. I am headed up to his shop this weekend to pick it up.

His description is, warm clear tone and LOUD! I am certainly excited to have it in my hands. Another thing to be thankful for this year!

I am very late to this party...but WOW!

Just another amazing build thread. Thank you for sharing CF.

BTW, I am going to do the DNA look up thing. I think I might be related to you and in line for inheritance

Congrats Dennis,

Someone is being tricky with only the front pictured, we know there are treats on the back! It looks great, I am particularly fond of the headstock inlay, the abalone purfling and the bridge shape, I love the little curves on the back edge of the bridge.

Having had the chance to hear a Tippin in an intimate setting played by a very accomplished player, I know the very best part will be the sound. Congrats!

Thanks guys. I agree with Tom here, the best part of this guitar will be the playing and hearing. But it is pretty easy on the eyes!

These are the only photos Bill sent. I promise a full set when she gets home in front of my camera. Especially those little flares on the back.

This has been a fun thread to follow and it is so exciting that the guitar is almost in your hands. I have always loved Bill's aesthetic sense and the tone of the guitars of his that I have played has been nothing short of stellar. Congrats again and I look forward to the complete report and pictures.

Best,
Jayne

Congratulations Dennis!! All I can say is WOW what a sweet guitar!! I can't find anything that I would do differently if it were mine. Wonderful imaginative design elements, gorgeous woods, and knowing the builder, I'm certain the tone will be off the charts. Anxious to hear a chord or two.

Happy for you!!

Default On my way home ...

Had a wonderful in the land of Tippin today. My new Crescendo is really special. Fits me like a glove. I think I like this one more than the one I played at Woodstock. It's only had strings on for a week or so and I really should wait for a bit to state an opinion but right now it is warm and responsive as I hoped it would be. I'm really happy with the guitar.

Below are some pics of the guitar and some of Bill's shop. Had the chance to meet Glen, Bill's part timer. Has his own shop but comes to help Bill out a couple days a week. He is the French polish guy!

Bill's shop is upstairs in a large building he shares with the Marina. This is a view out front of the building across the inlet from Fort Sewall for those of you familiar with the Marblehead area. Left is morning light and right is afternoon.

The guys hard at work ... tried not to bug them.

Default And the beauty I came to retrieve ...

Sorry about all the reflections. The light in the shop was not the best for glamour shots.
