If you need me to try it out for you, I am close to Columbus. Just let me know when it is done and I will let you know whether you should take it or not!

That is one of the nicest Cuban Mahogany (COG?) sets I can remember seeing. Should be very nice looking when she comes together! I notice a Braz or Mad R/W looking bridge - what's the fretboard gonna be? Good luck, we'll be following your posts with great interest, as this promises to be a good one!

The bridge and headstock veneer are Brazilian. The fretboard is Madagascar. Binding will also be Brazilian. |

Congratulations on a great choice of builders. You're going to love this guitar!
(Why can we get Cuban Mahogany but not Cuban cigars?)

Here's a few more pictures. The build is actually much further along than these pictures show. I'm anxious to see that Cuban Mahogany under a finish.
This has been a very good experience. |

Congrats Chuck. I am starting to take way too much attention to new builds these days... That's the way it is!
That Mahogany looks splendid and so do all the build photo's as she progresses. Did Brock take these for you or did you sneak in with a camera yourself? Is it the norm to have your builder allow you to go through and select the blanks that your instrument will be built from? This stuff is a bit new to me and I have a vested interest. I have read Brock's posted URL's re his site a couple of times and found it very interesting. Thanks and good luck with this guy, Jeremy. |

Brock sent me the build pictures. I've never been to his shop; it's a bit too far to stop in to check progress. After we agreed on the tonewoods to be used, I picked the mahogany set from a description and pictures that Brock had (along with his guidance). Brock selected the Lutz top. Sure it would be fun to go through stacks of wood, but I'd still rely on the builder for the appropriate selection. The aesthetic design was all done by Brock. |

It's nice to get positive responses from knowledgeable and respected builders like you. It makes me feel even more comfortable in my choice for a builder.
