Default NUD! My first Ukulele! Cocobolo Ukulele

I recently wanted to experiment with other instruments. Tried this one and I'm hooked instantly! This is a cocobolo ukulele. Solid cocobolos back, sides, top, fingerboard and the headstock overlay. Everything is cocobolo. The grain looks very interesting, it got me so intrigued that I am ordering another tenor size, this time with a more fancy rosette and binding all around. I'm loving the warm mellow tone of this little fella !

Beautiful uke. If it sounds half and nice as it looks I'm sure you are a happy camper.

WOW! Beautiful instrument. I didn't know they used rosewood for the tops of ukes. Enjoy your new instrument!

They are a small company starting out and I believe they only offer concert and tenor size at the moment. But the craftsmanship is unbelievable at that price point! And Kelvin at cocobolo ukulele is a great guy to deal with!

"At that price point". Now, you've got me asking another question. . What would that be, if you don't mind sharing?

It really does look very nice. Congrats again.

Nice case and thanks for the link.

I'm gonna wait and see if they come out with a baritone. That and I have something else inbound and probably ought to wait for that before something else with strings shows up at my house.

Beautiful instrument! That wood has got a lot going on. Didn't know where to look first. :-)

Just got my first uke a week ago myself. Mine's a Lanikai concert size made of Koa. It's sort of on the high end of low end ukes. I wanted something that was good enough that it would at least sound decent and intonate properly. It fits the bill, but I can already see a better uke in my future.

Ukes are a blast, aren't they?
