The search for a case (Epiphone Olympic)
Hey everyone,
Have had a 1940-41 Epiphone Olympic for awhile now. Super guitar and it came with a "vintage" case that looks about as old as the guitar. But unfortunately, the case is literally falling apart and as it never quite fit the Epiphone, I'm looking for a quality replacement. I'm hopeful that someone here has a similar Olympic model and can perhaps steer me towards a manufacturer of a suitable case. However, the dimensions of this guitar seem unique to me and I'm not sure anything pre-manufactured will be readily available. If that's the case, could anyone recommend a custom guitar case company/manufacturer that might fit the bill? Thanks for any help you can can provide. Worse case scenario, I suppose I can swing by Guitar Center and drop it in different cases until I find something that fits OK. |

I would recommend Cedar Creek cases.
http://www.cedarcreekcases.com/ I worked directly with them to get cases for a 57 LP jr, a custom V and a '69 Super 400. They are a little higher priced than TKL, but the quality of their product is great.

An OM/000-size case should be close - look for one with a longer neck just to be sure...

Thanks for the tips, guys. Archtop.com looks like they might have something that will work. If not, I think I'll try the OM-000 suggestion.
And thanks for the heads up on cedar creek! Some really nice stuff there. |

Also the Access SA 3 series case works. I've got the Kalamazoo equivalent to the Olympic and that case fits like a glove.

How could a Sheraton fit in a dread case?
