I know it's a minor detail in the grand scheme of things, but I'm absolutely loving the detail/design of the headstock. I don't think I've seen that on many guitars so it's even more memorable. Nice choice!

Since you can't possibly play both at the same time, I'll take one off your hands. Your choice.
Seriously, congrats. I've only ever played one of Laurent's guitars, but it's been stuck in my brain ever since.

This will certainly allow you to comment on the effect of his scale lengths. This is one of the rare situations where, for the most part, all other things are equal. Will Laurent attempt to do anything different with the voicing?

Thanks again for all the comments Folks... So yes, two guitars, one short and one standard...I tend to notice more warm rounded notes with a short scale, nice bloom and buttery vibe, and less tension, so maybe a bit easier on the fingers... A full scale might have more clarity, volume, sustain, power, maybe a bit brighter... Ive played "plenty" of short scales that "didn't possess my ideas of what is cool about a short scale, and same goes with a standard.
All and all I'd say the favorite guitars Ive played and owned over the years have mostly been full scale, but **** do I love a good short scale too...!!! Laurent's standard scale is a bit longer than I'm used to, 25.6 vs say a 25.5-25.375 etc. And I must say, on paper I don't have an interest in longer that say 25.5, but Laurent's set up's are go good, I don't really notice the difference, especially after a short bit of playing... and with his guitars Ive noticed a benefit to what the longer scale brings to the tonal palate, they really all "had it" in all the ways I like... Now, thats being said, Ive "really" been digging short scales these days...! Nice on the fingers, and lack of brashness overall.. BUT, I could't seem to back away from the idea of a standard scale on a Brondel guitar, being that all the ones I loved were all standard.... SO, thats the foundation of how two came about, and the two sets of Brazilian I had were perfect, so here we are... I also think the idea of having two twin sisters built side by side of the same woods in different scale lengths is interesting from a comparison standpoint, and I'm blessed to have the privilege of tweaking back and forth which one I like better and changing my mind back and forth every other day! LOL As for how Laurent is bracing the tops... I didn't get into it "too" deep with him... Pretty much gave him some confusing contradictions of what I like out of a guitar and said to just build your best! HA...

Sustain for days but perfect clarity. Huge dreadnought bass but with the focus of a parlor. Playability of a 24" scale with the bass response of a baritone. Action for Yngvie leads but no buzzing for bluegrass flatpicking.
