Shame she didn't strap on the Tele - even in this elite company she could've shown the boys a thing or two about playing guitar...

Currently the best one-two punch on the planet.

Thank you.
Talented people but slide and lead guitar playing can go from 0 to annoying fast. Much more in that song would be too much. There are some other nice performances done for presidents that are worth watching.

Different style, same place, but there is a Gershwin award concert for Burt Bacharach and Hal David at the White House if similar quality and style of production that some here might enjoy. All this great youtube content is why I don't watch much TV!

That was brilliant. Derek Trucks is something else - his playing has a unique voice. Warren Haynes is one of those rare players who can just change it up to jaw-drop mode at will; and I, too, wish that Ms. Tedeschi had picked up the Tele. She's a very fine player in her own right, somewhat overshadowed by her husband - rather like Jimmy and Stevie Ray.
I was a little puzzled by the cut-away at around 2:10 to a couple of folks who, by their movements, appeared to be listening to a completely different song...

that's too much soul for one stage to hold.
the acoustic "rollin' and tumblin'" didn't work so well for me. "frrraaaph!" they actually seemed pretty into it. which, i suppose, they had to be. maybe the synch was off a little bit. |

That's a pretty loose definition of "backstage"
Great videos.

Different strokes, I guess. Mr. Truck's lead playing (in *any* amount) is pretty much a religious experience for me.

more of a smaller studio stage that just happens to be behind the bigger audience stage. there's probably another one behind that (way backstage).
