I have 10 prsi, many who grew up listening to Gibson or Fender don't like their tone as much, I do, but it took time. My favorites are a 1998 McCarty, and a 1994 Custom 24. Their tremolo system is by far the best I've used. When you first play one of Paul's guitars, I think you're technique dramatically improves. I highly recommend trying some different models first, to be sure you like it's tone, and it's very dependent on what amplifiers you're using.

Most PRS made in the US are expensive, The new S2 Series starts at 1150USD, The aforementioned Piezo-equipped guitars, the P22 and P24, are only available in US form, and cost about 4500.
