Some obvious options for you to sell:

Several Fender Strat and Tele "levels".

Some of the better Epiphones.

Not sure about Gibson LPs.

Not sure if you want in on that market niche - so many places selling their stuff at low margins, and returns are common.

If I could swing it, a PRS P22 for the great mag pickups and a very nice piezo.

I just ordered a MIM Blacktop Telecaster (2 humbuckers) ... I already have a Blackout Tele with 3 single coils; it is a great guitar for the price ... the Blacktop will give me the Tele simplicity and comfort but with the humbuckers for a variance ...

I'm considering three possibilities for my next electric.

1) A Tele variant with the classic single coil bridge pickup and a humbucker in the neck...the Vintage Hot Rod '52 fits the bill, but I wish it were available with a burst finish.

2) Been thinking about getting a Jazzmaster.

3) Maybe a Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin.

My choice will most likely depend upon what's available when next I walk into the shop with a sufficiently large checking account and sufficiently low willpower (although to be honest, the second one is pretty much all the time).

I also own acoustics.

Without a brick and mortar presence gross sales might do best with well known models at discounts. How about amps at less than "MAP" discounts?

Join Dave's and Wildwood for a rebirth of Fender Thin Skins!

Good luck.
Thanks for the replies so far. We do have a brick and mortar presence, it's just that most of our sales come via Internet.

I am quite content with my electrics. If I were going to buy one it would be an ES-175-type jazz box. I like the looks of the Reverend Pete Anderson Signature archtop. I think you might be able to create a pretty good on-line business with Reverend guitars.

Content with my electrics as well, although I am thinking of possibly moving one to purchase a Hog Dread.
I do not play live or in a band, so 3 electrics may be 1 to many.

Go for it - I bought both of mine (acoustic 5th Avenue and CW Kingpin II) sight unseen and haven't had a single regret. If you're into P-90 jazz tone but find an early ES-125/175 too dull and thuddy, or you play roots/rockabilly/blues/vintage soul, you won't find a better all-around electric than the Kingpin II...

I'm really liking that line. I'm looking real hard at that one & the X175B or Starfire III.

Thanks for all the replies so far! At first glance, I'm really liking the Reverend and Guild ideas.

My next purchase is likely to be a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster.

I imagine it's tough to compete on price for lower-end guitars like that, but somewhere that does an independent quality check and setup would be worth a little extra -- I'll probably go with Sweetwater over Musician's Friend for that reason.

I like the Reverend and Guild ideas too... I'm not sure what Guild is planning with their re-introduction of electrics, but they're really interesting. Both of those companies are nice because they're mostly not doing clones, but their own distinctive take on classic designs and sounds.

I just picked up mine. It was made by a kid named Troy Post over in Virginia. Rosewood, maple and cherry. One piece thru neck. 3 DiMarzio super 2's with coil splits. Can run them as hb's or single coil. Unity gain buffer with an on board effects loop thats wired before the volume pot so that volume sensitive pedals aren't affected by the overall volume that I have the guitar set at. Crystal clear glasslike highs. Fat bouncy low end. The action is set a little high so I can dig in a bit as I play about half the time fingerstyle and the other half with a pick. This is a stellar instrument all for a mere $1700.00. If anyone is interested in a custom build, I cannot recommend this guy enough. http://www.postguitars.com/
