a rep at zzounds told me that they do a credit check, but americanmusical does not. also there's a new plan on musiciansfriend that does 4 payments and no credit check (according to the rep who got back to me), but you must call them on the phone to get the payments.

Actually, AMS ran a credit check on the last guitar I ordered from them. I purchased it online and they called me the next day for the info to run the check. Never have before. I'm not sure if it was random or because the guitar was on the more expensive side. Can you Tell me more about musicians friends easy payment plan? Thanks.

if you spend enough to do the 5 payment plan, they run a credit check.
