As previously stated I generally make my own non adjustable 3"wide leather straps, but I have had one made recent;ly and this is what it looks like :

Nope - I can do videos but not images apparently! Sigh.

Anyway it is a carved leather strap made for me by K&S leathers. See :
https://www.facebook.com/kandsleathe...type=1&theater

And look for the strap with Andy and oaklleaf clusters. This was a totally custom piece made to my dimensions.

My Mom loved yellow roses. After she passed away (at the age of 98) in 2011 I had a yellow rose put on each of my guitar straps in her memory. Most of my guitar straps are Levy cotton black or brown but I recently got a Long Hollow Leather strap (model 71040) that has become my favorite. It's nice and soft, comfortable for playing, and does not have any buckles, sliders, etc. that can scratch my guitar when it's cased. (I had the rose embroidered at a local store.)

A very touching story. I'm sure you treasure it.

Its so wide and so thin and so soft it doesn't pinch or bind or dig in anywhere.

I treated it a couple times with Coach leather conditioner and its kept in great condition for decades.

I since returned that old electric into my stable again and put the same strap on it (this time with Strap Locks). Its as nice as ever.

Everyone now seems to make leather straps that are two layers of leather.

I can't find a single layer leather strap anywhere and this is the most comfortable and best lasting strap I've ever seen.

Levy's makes single layer, which I too prefer.

Both were stolen at a social club where I was doing free jamsessions. An all leather Gibson strap and my embroidered Fender strap, which came with my electrics when I bought them some 40 years ago. Sorry, no pictures.

I love Levy's straps, especially the ones with suede backing, as they do not shift around when you are playing standing up. The quality of the leather and the looks are great. However, their straps just don't adjust to fit me properly. When they measure overall length, they don't measure from hole to hole, they measure from hole to end of provided shoelace. Their standard length is good for electric guitars, but too short for an acoustic lacking an upper strap button. They have an extra long, but that is too long, even at its shortest adjustment. I usually end up making or buying a new leather lower section of strap to make them work. Too bad they don't change their design to make their straps more adjustable...

Thank You for sharing Your story!

SIX years searching and then finally found her. Wonderful!!

We "ordinary" people take so much for granted. Like Moms and Dads. At least I know I do.

I love this forum!!
