Travis, Indeed it does look great! I like the work you've done here. It seems like you crank out guitars in almost record time...start to finish in less than 60 days!!! Thanks for sharing your work.
I will look forward to the opportunity to play this one...Thursday!!

I am looking forward to getting your take on this one. I think my golf game has been suffering since I started this hobby. See you Thursday. |

That Osage looks great! I like that bridge design for the funky fan fret too.

Thanks Redir,
I like what a fan fret allows you to achieve sonically. It is very balanced. I set it up with 26"-25" scale lengths and the perpendicular fret at the 7th. I am surprised how easy it is to adjust between a standard set up and a multi scale when playing. Travis |

This Travis dude may be a "hobby builder" but I gotta tell you he can flat out build a great sounding guitar! I played this one and several others that he had built including an OM, a Dred, and I think the other was possibly an 000 size...not certain. Each had different woods, and each were unique unto themselves. Each guitar has a signature (Knorr) sound that I found very pleasing. And yes balanced, with just the right amount of "reverb", and great sustain. The fan fret was easy to play as it wasn't extreme like some I've seen. Ideal for most any guitarist to play. I noticed the additional tone value, but didn't even miss a beat playing the thing. Sweet! I continue to be amazed at how great a builder Travis has already become. His guitars have great tone, and are very well built. Of course, he told me he built 10 of them in his first year, so he's no rank amatuer that's for sure. I think his future is bright if he ever decides to take this "show on the road"

Mike,
Thanks for the report and for taking some time out of your day Thursday. It was fun to hear you play and to be able to bounce some ideas around with you. Take care and have a great weekend. Travis |

Success, then!
I could already tell they look great. I'm also a fan of non-traditional woods, so their successful use always gets extra admiration from me.
