I put this one on my MIM Strat:

You will be wanting a good clean channel amp. (Roland solid state or something similar would be my guess).

I've heard lots of good things about the Lace pickups, and was considering a loaded pickguard for a strat kit guitar in the near future.
They have three versions available.

I have a loaded Tom Short Swingin' Singles pickguard FS on tgp. These, to my knowledge, are wound like the 50's pickups. They are very, very, smooth.
