I can't find a flaw on it anywhere. I sense a matching Jazzmaster in my future...
How does the Squire differ from an American Vinyage or a Vintage Jaguar?

Beautiful! Gotta get me one to keep my Jaguar bass company.

Apart from costing a lot more money? I honestly have no idea, as I've never played another Jaguar.

I'm sure there are differences in materials and electronics - the Fender website should have all the info you need.

When I inquired on another forum about acquiring a Jaguar, I was pointed toward the Johnny Marr signature model by a number of people. It has a different wiring scheme - cool in its own right, but to me that makes it not a Jaguar. It also cost nearly 6 times what the Squier does, which moves it way out of the discretionary purchase range. If I'm going to spend that much on a guitar, I'll buy another Rickenbacker - or save my pennies even more and give Paul Rohney a call.

I thought the same thing! Maybe matching Hot Rod Red.

Hmmm.... Seems like I've been down this road a couple times before.....
