+1 for the Wildkat. Despite its ridiculous name, its a great guitar. Smaller and more ergonomic, attractive (IMHO), and a great feature set for the price. Two very very different guitars. Not sure why you're comparing these. Have you played them? In my opinion they are used for different purposes...

Epiphone Dot:
- Solid block in the middle
- Humbucker pickups (beefy sounding, thick, round)
Think jazzier, bluesier, and rock music.

Epiphone Casino:
- Full hollowbody, no block (Acoustically more resonant,
- P90 pickups (chimey-er than the humbuckers, lot of feedback when distorted)
Think Beatles, chimey/voxy surf-like music
