Plus one, and I would not bother with the Adirondack top.

I see some ppl say the adi top on a hog is the best thing in the world and some say don't bother with it.. I just don't know which one. The adi seems to my ears a little tight and not as open as the other.

Before I put an Adi top on a D-18 I would just move up to the D-18GE if finances allow.
Between a 2012 D-18 and D-17m the 18 IMO offers more and will be an easier resale if the time come, but a used GE would be my recommendation..........

Thanks for the input. Whats really bothering me is that I can't try one out. Nobody has one. My semi local 1.5 hrs away GC has nothing. Did find a 2 yr old D35 that was pretty dang nice for strumming. I'd just love to compare the RW to the HOG on a Martin.

D18 Adi hands down. The new d18 are great guitars too. I have played the D17M and its a nice guitar but I would go to the D18 ADI or D18GE if you want the mohogany.
A D35 is a great choice and I have one and prefer it over my HD28. |

Well I put a down payment on the d35 yesterday. I think that it just fits my strumming and vocals. I wish I could of tried a new d18 but buying sight unseen is just so hard for me. You just never know.
