2016 Taylor 618E Torrefied Sitka top/Brown Sugar Maple - SOLD
SOLD - SOLD
Very nice guitar here. The volume and tone took me by surprise - giving a nod to the golden era Taylors from the mid 90's. VERY lightweight build (first thing I noticed!) and a lot of nice appointments. The warmth and bass response on this are pretty substantial for a Taylor. I read an interview with Andy Powers that said he wanted to build a maple guitar for people that didn't think they like maple guitars! Torrefied Sitka top, flamed maple back and sides with brown sugar finish - very pretty in person. 1 3/4 nut - 2 3/16 saddle and 25.5 scale length. Expression system 2 electronics that work incredibly well. These had a street price of 3200.00 new. There are 3-4 very minor marks in the top, and one tiny one in the back. Other than that guitar and case are perfect - anything else you see that appears to be an imperfection is simply a reflection in the photo. I've dialed in the setup, polished it up, cleaned and conditioned the fingerboard and put a fresh set of EJ16's on - ready to go. *** DROP TO 1675.00 PLUS SHIPPING/PAYPAL - SEE POST 17 FOR AN UPDATE ON THIS *** 1950.00 plus actual shipping to the CONUS only. Add 40.00 for Paypal if you want to go that route and I'll cover the rest. ** NO TRADES PLEASE **

Beautiful backside on that 618! Hopefully that's not a sexist comment.
Man, late for me ... I was looking for one of these last summer, but I picked up a 616e instead. These are amazing and will surprise folks - mine is unmistakably Taylor tone, but its low end thumb is incredible (this must be even bolder) and the balance and articulation is out of this world. GLWTS :-)

Are you able to provide close-up context shots of the marks? Are these marks dings? Thanks very much.

The worst marks on the top are a small cluster of tiny (rice sized or smaller) dimples near the bass side of the bridge. I may be able to get pics of those tomorrow (guitar is at the studio) but any others are extremely minor. And none come close to breaking the finish.

This is by far the worst mark on the whole guitar. It's off the bass side of the bridge (which I've left in the picture for perspective on size) There are two other tiny pencil point mark on the top, and one 1-2mm round-ish dimple on the back. That's it.

Thanks, that certainly does not look that bad at all. Are you able to also provide the remaining marks, even if they're difficult to capture? Thank you. Sorry to be a pain but I wouldn't be asking if not seriously interested, and also I think it would save time and the uncomfortableness of me asking for photos of each mark by having to reply each time if you are happy to just take all the photos and put them in one update.

I took about a dozen pics and only could make two of them come out. The first is a little squiggle near the bridge that is very shallow. The other is a very tiny (there's another one just like it a couple inches away that is not visible) mark near the treble upper bout binding. I couldn't get the one on the back to show up because of the coloration and luster.
