I don't think what most people use to listen has a flat frequency response from 20 to 20 KHz.
That means the frequency response of your hearing may be wider than this test indicates. I took the test 3 ways: 1. Listening to the stock speakers inside my late 2015 iMac 27" desktop computer. ... I heard 60 - 10.5 KHz. 2. Through AKG K553 PRO headphones plugged directly into the iMAC headphone jack. ... I heard 20 - 10.5 KHz. 3. Same headphones but plugged into my RME BabyfacePro Audio Interface which is connected to the iMac via a USB cable. ... I heard 20 - 10.5 KHz. I'm in my early 60s. I'm gonna test a 15 year old all 3 ways this Sunday. I suspect the cheapo tiny speakers in the iMac (which I just proved produced nothing below 60 Hz will not reach as high in frequency as the next 2 setups with good headphones. Since I can't hear above 10,500 HZ, it will take a young person to check up to 20,000 Hz ... but he does like to shoot guns so he may already be a bad subject for this. 20Hz-9400Hz, using cheap ear buds. But at some point, I think it was around 1300Hz I had to turn the volume nearly all the way down because the high frequency was hurting my ears. I fairly confident if I had bumped up the volume at the high end I could have heard far above the 9400Hz

Cool experiment. I was at 30 and 12.5k. I'm still bald though, it didn't work, lol.

20-14,000 or so.

I heard that from 57 to a little over 16k and my ears haven't stopped ringing since then. That was on the lowest volume setting I have for my headphones at 2 (out of 100). I can't imagine if I'd turned that volume up in the higher frequencies.

I still have hope I won't be bald when I wake up tomorrow. I'm sure the ringing in my ears might go away by then too. Just kidding, it's starting to go away-the ringing that is. The hair's been gone for a while now

Using inexpensive headphones on my iMac, I stopped hearing the test signal around 12k. I'm in my early 60's. Like most, I abused my hearing in my younger days (standing in front of my amp playing with our band - cranked up LOUD!), in front of the speakers at major rock concerts, etc. Surprised I have any hearing left!
