Cool effect pedals
Looking for recommendations on cool effect pedals for guitar. I'm in a new band and would like to find some new sounds.
I don't need normal reverb delay distortion stuff as I'm set there. Are there interesting filter pedals out there? Any real out there stuff?

I've always loved the MXR blue box. It can be twitchy but it definitely brings something different to the party.

This is my vote for one very cool pedal:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98u-MDTKAWU EHX's B9 organ pedal. But this is the one I'm LUSTING for, their sitar pedal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPYf0fYfbu0 No more lugging a 5ft gourd around for me! AWESOME! Last edited by BTF; 11-03-2014 at 06:23 PM. |

Univibe. It's an imperfect model of the Leslie speaker, kind of a combined phaser/tremolo/vibrato/chorus pedal. It's the effect on Gilmour's guitar on "Breathe" and a lot of Robin Trower's work. Very lush and space-y sounding.

As one of the worlds biggest Booker T fans, if I bought this pedal, I would go down a rabbit hole with no exit...

How about a simple Phaser? The way EVH used it.

I'd +1 on a POG, I have a MicroPOG, used with a volume pedal it is a lot of fun. I'd also have a listen to a Strymon Lex... it's another rotary speaker type pedal with a lot of good sounds; you can have virtually any 'speed' of spin, you can bias for the horn or the big speaker and it has a really neat 'drive' part to it which I sometimes use instead of an OD.
