Interested, but can the Anthem system be removed without a trace or did material have to be removed to install this? Thanks,

Hello, the Anthem system was installed at the factory. I have no idea what it would take to remove it. Thank you for your interest!

Thanks for the quick reply. I wonder if this would have been installed at GC not the factory. Does Martin do that? Also is anyone familiar with this particular device and its install / removal? Beautiful guitar.

Absolutely, that is the sort of thing the Martin Custom Shop does. In fact, out of curiosity, I used their tool a couple of years ago to build out the identical guitar and the result was a MSRP OF $7,200. Thanks again for your interest.

HeyMikey, I just re-read your original post regarding the "removal of material" in order to install the Anthem system. Generally speaking, the only material removed from the installation of any pickup of this nature amounts to enlarging the hole for bottom strap to support the installing of the input jack. Otherwise, the guitar's structural integrity is not altered. Hope this helps.

I own a very similar guitar...a Martin OM Custom Shop Madagascar/Alpine Spruce.

The clarity and note separation on mine is remarkable, especially in the the mid-range.
This is not to say it lacks low end or high sparkle, no it's all there, but the midrange clarity is especially defined.

If I did not have a guitar so similar, I would buy this one.
Fact is, I've been looking at it pretty much everyday trying to find a way to justify having them both.

No affiliation with seller (yet, please save me) but this is a superior guitar that I trust the new owner will be very happy with.

Thank you for the vote of confidence regarding this guitar. It is truly the best sounding guitar I have heard; sings like none I have heard before.

I am preparing to place this guitar on eBay for the holiday sale season, so if anyone is interested, let me know before I do so.

What is the measured string spacing at the bridge?
Thanks, Ce.

Hello CE,

Sorry for the delayed reply but with the holidays, I haven't been able to get to this request.

I measured the following spacing as best as I could using a StewMac ruler and a magnifying set of glasses using the center of the strings as the guide.

Essentially, center to center I measured 29/64 between the E & A strings and just about 30/64 between the B & E strings. The balance of the string spacing fell between the two values given.

Hope that this helps.

Merry Christmas!
Frank
