Default FS: 1903 0-28 SOLD and 1952 00-21 NLFS

1903 0-28: Brazilian rosewood back and sides, adirondack top, mahogany neck's been repaired with a long splice (probably before most of us were born), ebony fingerboard with bar frets, ebony replacement bridge with bone saddle and very old but not original pins. End pin and headstock pin are original. Tuners are PegHeds, with internal gears. Look like violin/cello pegs though. Original bar fretted neck is straight with slight relief. Action is 3/32" under the low E and 3.5/32" under the high e string at the 12th fret.
The guitar's body is in excellent plus condition with no cracks or repairs and very clean with no real dings, scratches or other signs of abuse. The 0-28 is X braced and has been strung with D'A pb lights for years with the top showing no changes.
The vintage tone that pours out of this 115 year old Martin is nothing short of etherial. Every single note is full and clear and just what you' expect from such a beautiful old Martin.
The deluxe newer hardshell case fits like a glove and is also in excellent condition. $3750.00 plus shipping. SOLD.

1952 00-21: Brazilian rosewood back and sides are clean and crack free. Sitka top shows slight wear. Brazilian fingerboard, bridge and peg head overlay.
Exceptionally clean with one b string crack repair. 1 7/8" at the nut with 2 1/4" string spread at the saddle. Recent neck reset, low action measures 3/32" under the low E string and 2/32 under the high e string at the 12th fret. An all original, crack free vintage Martin and with very little wear. Currently strung with D'A pb lights.
Wonderful balance with deep bass and amazing chime and sweetness in the trebles. Comes in a generic 00 size case.Brazilian rosewood back and sides are clean and crack free. The 0-28 is impressive. The screw holes in the headstock are from original banjo tuners?

How much saddle showing on the 0? Bridge shaved or stock? Neck set done or needed?
And please describe the neck carves.

Max, tuner holes in back of the 0-28's headstock are from other tuners that came and went on this guitar over the years. When I got it, it had enclosed mini Shallers.
Originally it would have sported ivory friction tuners.

Paul,
Saddle on the 0-28 measures 2/32". Original bridge has been replaced. This one's been there a long time and appears unmodified. Neck set's not been done and is not needed. Action is low. The 0-28's neck feels slimmer to me than one might expect on such an old guitar and since there's evidence of the long splice repair, the neck may have been slimmed down at the time way back in the murky past when the repair was done. I know how guitars from the '20s and '30s should feel but I've only experienced one other guitar from the turn of the last Century, an old Bruno parlor and it has a slim neck too, small but with a very pronounced V. This 0-28's neck is narrower in the shoulders but rounded across the back. It's also just a hair shy of 1 7/8 at the nut.
The 00-21's neck feels full, thick and well rounded. My Fav!

Tech savvy, I'm not. But if you go to Reverb.com and enter the guitars you'll see all the pictures.

Probably unlikely considering the age of the '52, but since I'm in Canada, I don't suppose there's any CITES paperwork?
