Default Tortoloid Pickguard from Stew-Mac. I like it!

I just put one of Stew-Mac's Tortoloid pickguards on my HD-28LSV and could not be happier. The only compliant with them for me was the fact that they do not come beveled. I did a polished bevel on mine which was pretty easy. Check it out!

the edges, from the picture, look nice.

I really like how its semi translucent and you can see the rosette through it - I really like that, as oppossied to the ones that block everything out.

That looks great!

Thanks! yes, I like the transparency too. You can see the grain of the top through it too.

My eyes appreciate you putting it on straight! An all too uncommon occurrence in pick guard replacement.

I like Mario's guards and would have considered one for my LSV. This guard was on it when I bought the guitar and I like it well enough.

I recently purchased one from The Acoustic Shoppe for my Eastman E20D. Love the semi-transparent view of the rosette and wood grain.

It looks great!
I bought one for my Eastman E20D on the right.
I know, it's a little crooked.

I bought this several times from StewMac and they are great - but expensive too. Almost 50 Canadian Dollars. I know they are made in Canada. Does anybody know info about the manufacturer?

The material is made by Mario Proulx, builder of very high end instruments. There’s a thread around here somewhere about whether he’s still building.
