Fishman SA220 Question
Hi, I just bought a used Fishman SA220 and the plastic part of the stand where the three legs connect to the vertical tube of the stand is cracked. It still works and seems solid, but if it gets worse I'll need to replace the stand. I'm wondering if this amp is sized to fit on a normal speaker stand or if I must try to find a Fishman stand.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks! |

I'm pretty sure it's a normal stand. I have both the SA220 stand and normal K&M speaker stands. Have not interchanged them but I will go check for you...

Hey Hinto,
The speaker tube on the SA220 stand is slightly bigger than the tube on my K&Ms, which are standard. The circumference of the 220 is 4-5/8". The K&M is 4-5/16". If that piece breaks, call Fishman. They may be able to send you a replacement. Their customer service is awesome. They have sent me spare parts in the past... Tim Last edited by Slim; 10-10-2015 at 08:44 PM. Reason: Typo |

I considered buying an SA220 a while back and checked on that among other things. The stand is slightly largely than the 'standard', possibly the measurement quoted above. Some stands have reversible tops to cover the two primary sizes, failing that you can get an adapter sleeve to fit. I think K&M do them from memory.

Were I you, I would contact Fishman. They may very well replace it for you.

I also recommend contacting Fishman. They have replaced mine (I am original owner), but even if you need to buy it, it isn't expensive. They are a remarkably responsive company in my opinion.

Thanks for the advice, I sent them a note and I'll see what they say! I have had very good experience with Frank in the past for a problem I was having with a pickup.
Cheers. |
