$8 cell phone camera microscope
I bought an $8 attachment for my high-resolution cell phone camera on eBay (well two actually - I got a telephoto lens and an inspection microscope).
They are surprisingly good quality. Here are four pictures showing the image capabilities at increasing magnifications. I shrunk the pics down - my camera is an 8MP so it normally makes 2896x2896 picture files.     For $8 (including free shipping) its a great little gizmo. It includes a cell phone case with a threaded collar and the attachment. You clip the case on your phone and screw the magnifier to the collar. It includes a clear shroud, movable focus tube and LED lights. It even includes a UV light for inspecting dollar bills.

I have a Galaxy S4 with an 8MP camera.
The first two photos are just the camera, the other three are with the microscope magnifier installed.

Those photos are amazing! The detail in the spruce fibers is quite compelling. Is there such an add on device for an iPhone?
