Plug it into a nice tube amp, and rock this town till all the stray cats come home...

I'll plug it into the Mesa Boogie Rosette or the '59 Fender Bassman, and see which sounds best....

I'm thinking this guitar will work out great for my senior center gigs and for recording. I'm thinking this guitar and the Rosette will make an awesome pair.

Gretsch owner since 1964 here...

Plug into that '59 Bassman, run your guitar controls wide open, and you may never want another electric guitar/amp - seriously...

Very nice! I'd agree the Bassman is probably the way to go.

Enjoy and rock that beauty.

To make recordings, the Bassman doesn't have a direct line out, I'd have to mic the amp. The Rosette does have a direct out which could record directly into my computer. I tried this last night with my D-35 and got a stellar recording. I'm looking forward to using the Gretsch to play into the Rosette and record into the computer. I'm thinking the Gretsch pickups will sound better than the Lyric pickup that's in the D-35. We'll see.

Congrats! That's a beauty! It should pair up well with your amp.

I have never owned a Gretsch but have always wanted one for all those 50's rockabilly tunes I try to cover.

Wow purdy, congrats.
Just use the Bassman for da blues, and the mesa for country or folk rock etc, or come off a stereo pedal or splitter, and use both

Thanks for that video, it gave me a good idea on what to expect with the Rosette....a very nice clean well balanced sound. To get quality recordings like that is one of my goals. The hollow body guitar should produce a nice rich tone....

That's rocking and pretty cool.

Here are some great mellower tones (first 2 minutes then a bunch of talk for 4 or 5 minutes then more tone demonstrations )
