Default Fretting pinky knuckle "clicking"

The old "it hurts when I do this doc"

and the doctor says "Then don't do that."

So xxx225 becomes xx76x5. Look ma, no pinky!

Glucosamine is in my future again. I was probably working it too hard for the last couple of weeks.

That could be “trigger finger” effect, a type of tendinitis. I’ve had that successfully treated with cortisone injections. Lately, however, I’ve afflicted with arthritis. That’s less easily treated.

I've had experience with trigger finger, and can guarantee that working it will make it worse. Resting it will delay its progression. Cortisone shots sometimes work, but for many is just a temporary fix, and surgery is needed in the end.

I'm going to give it a rest by playing certain things differently and reducing certain types of practicing a bit. Hopefully it's just from over use.

Cortisone shots in a joint relieve inflammation but weaken the ligaments.

That's of the reason there are many ligament injuries in the NFL.
