Honduras Rosewood bridge
I recently came into a stash of beautiful Honduras Rosewood boards. It's the perfect size to make bridges out of but I've never used it in this application. Anyone ever used it?
Thanks. |

Yep. Rosewoods can make great bridges. Normal quality wood requirements apply.

The honduras rosewood I have tends to run heavier than IRW/BRW... It does make a beautiful bridge - just on the heavy side vs IRW if you use the same dimensions.

Thanks guys.
I've used Brazilian Rosewood extensively for bridges as well as some East Indian but never Honduras. It's beautiful, straight grained and has a wonderful tap tone but is definitely heavier than other Rosewoods I have used, which is my main concern. Good to see someone else using it. |
