Thanks JR. I would never have known Jonathan if it wasn't for this forum.

Cool Brazil

Every aspect is stunning on this instrument, the black piece on the back of the neck, is it purely ornamental or does it serve any structural or tonal purpose, I've never seen a more beautiful brazilian rosewood. if it sounds like it looks wow..

Thank you.

Call Jonathan. He'd be more than glad to visit with you. He has a bit of wait list so you can start saving.

Thank you.

The black piece on the back is for ornamental purposes. We originally planned a 5 piece back. Somewhere along the design collaboration, I wanted to do a very simple inlay somewhere. I prefer a blank fretboard and Jonathan suggested the neck. I think it worked out well.

I received the guitar last weekend. I've been playing it quite a bit and it sounds very good. Will comment on its voice later.

Few more pics.

Thanks guys. I may have another build coming up soon. I'll have to sell something.

Default Razo #15

Congratulations on your new Razo. I was able to to play it briefly when Jonathan had just strung it up and it sounds as lovely as it looks. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the guitar's voice.

Thanks.

I played it quite a bit the day I got it and immediately liked what I heard. Otherwise, I would've used the 3 day assessment period very wisely.

It's definitely a keeper. I do need to change to Elixirs first (personal perference) then try other things. Will share my thoughts soon.
