Default Comparison input needed for MXL 990 and Zoom H2

I've got two files, one recorded with the old setup, the other recorded with the Zoom H2....same processing for each file (playing varies LOL)

But I'd like some feedback on the difference, which you think is better.

Joe, nice tune and very nice playing. I thought the H2 sounded a bit more balanced and had more clarity at least on my monitors. The higher frequencies in the 990 were a too harsh for my liking. I could be that a little EQ might fix the problem.

To me, the MXL 990 sounded slightly more airy, which I think is a good thing. The difference was fairly subtle to my ears, though.

Awesome guys! Thanks alot for the feedback!

As long as it's that close, then it's good by me, I had to unfortunately sell my Zoom R16 (which had Phantom Power for the MXL), and the Zoom H2 was my solution for recording, and WOW, I can't believe the results...you hear about it...but you don't "really" believe it, until you do it yourself.

Anyone know what those mics inside the H2 would compare to in standalone mics?
