OK ... here's what I came up with for an audio file ... VERY quick and nasty, straight from the memory card on my old Edirol recorder uploaded to SoundCloud. I'm using my fingers ... no picks and not much in the way of nails.

Personally, I wouldn't take anything good, bad or indifferent from ANY audio file with regards to judging a guitar ... but having said that, I have to admit they're fun to listen to for some reason!

I'm shipping the guitar to Trevor at TAMCO today, so he should have it soon.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to watch this one come together ... it's been fun!

Hey everyone ... here's a link to a second audio file of this guitar ... just me noodling with a flat pick. I wasn't going to upload this one, but my audio files are such a warts-and-all train wreck anyhow, I thought what the heck! The fingerstyle audio file is uploaded to the same place as well.

Dasvid,

Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this thread. Very exciting to see this one come to life under your capable hands.

I for one, feel that I can tell a lot from from an audio recording (assuming it is the actual guitar). Like our voices, there are [unique] tonal characteristics that come through and are not easily masked by either poor recordings or effects. I guess the same could be said for photographs as well ...

That said, having heard and played one of your recent builds ... I'd say this baby has the characteristic Wren sound in spades!!! This guitar is going make it's new owner and fortunate listeners very happy.

Cheers,

John
