Default Testing Out A New Preamp... Colin Hay - "I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You"

Picked up a new mic preamp and took it for a spin on the vocal track. Guitar is a neat little Pono concert size thing that sounds great for fingerpicking (not so much on strumming, though).

Thanks! Not the best recording; it was all done live, so there's some bleed between the mics. But man, I love that song.

Voice and guitar sound terrific! As good as anything on the radio today. Which preamp are you using there?

Thanks! It's an old ART MPA (not the II, just the original one) on the vocals. Guitar mics are going straight into my Tascam US-1800.

Still getting the hang of that ART. It's really easy to overdrive vocals in a non-musical way....
