I just want to add that to get this sound, not everyone needs a Bose L1. A non singing bass player can just have a good bass amp. Lead guitar can just be from a good tube amp. In a small room, drums don’t need amplification. The sound of an L1 doing vocals and acoustic guitar combined with acoustic drums, and amps on electric guitar, bass and keyboards can be very good.

Of course, my application is acoustic guitar and voice, and the Bose L1 is just PERFECT for that usage... I was surprised when my friend wanted to play through his L1 Soloist for his Telecaster, cause he's pretty picky about his amplified sound... but, he has an extensive pedalboard and the tone from the L1 of his was very, very nice... One of the big points of the Bose rigs is their ease of transport, load-in and out and set-up... even my friend's L1 probably wieghs less than his Deluxe Reverb and pedalboard...

Thanks for the interesting thread. Are 'we' saying that the 2 Bose duos
are the key ingredient for the synergy, or would a duo with Bose L1 + JBL Eon work, also? In my scenario, I am thinking one guitar + 1 vocal in each PA. Thanks.

In a small venue, how would it sound to just have one Bose S1 Pro per singing musician?

That's exactly how I heard it at the NAMM demo and it definitely works, as long as the venue and volume requirements are in line with its capabilities. She just had her vocals, guitar and backing tracks going through a single S1.

If there were to be any great dissimilarities I'd expect them to show up more if the Bose in question was the L1 Model II with its 24 drivers and much greater dispersion.

I have the L1mod2 and L1C....my partner has a JBL Eon One. We each do guitar/vocals solo , and a few songs duo. That gives us a lot of combinations to try, and I think you are saying the L1C may pair better with the JBL Eon One
than the Mod2. Of course, the best pairing is probably the L1mod2 + L1C... ,,,,I just need a bigger SUV!

Now that we're talking about three units being available I believe the best answer is for you to bring them all.
