Tom, I am cheating a bit and waited for the applause to die down on Dennis' project, so hopefully I can 'manage time' and have but a short gap of nothingness. Remains to be seen, but stay tuned!

Me too! Only issue is they are still clapping at my house. I'll deal with it!

Meanwhile back at the neck..

You will recall I picked a classic '42-style snowflake' fretboard inlay, but in the non-traditional gold mother-of-pearl.

Beautiful job, Steve!!

I should have mentioned vis-a-vis the last photo..

That Steve and Ryan gave me the option of brass or silver frets and that I went with brass. Good call?

Thanks again for the kind words. Actually not brass frets--which I have not seen for many years--just brass-colored. Actually these are gold, because nothing is too good for Bob! Gold Evo, that is. Seemed appropriate for this guitar, and will match the gold tuners beautifully.

Steve

Great combination of traditional & modern features. This OO is going to be something special.
Looking forward to seeing that back with finish as well.

Thanks for the thread gents.

Cheers,
Tom

Wow, very kind words Chris. I should add I'm slightly envious of your tutelage and the fine "school" you attended. I hold Jeff and Cyndy in highest regard. Looks like you are following in their tracks.

I'm pleased that "traditional" design hasn't fallen completely out of favor these days. It has so very much to say to us, and your words are heartening!
Thanks guys,

Steve
