Default Acoustic Praise and Worship Recommendations

Can some the Praise and Worship leaders out there recommend some acoustic Praise and Worship songs for me to sing? Aside from the obvious "Amazing Grace". Of that one I really like Chris Tomlin"s version.

There's a multitude of great Praise & Worship songs out there for Acoustic guitar. Of Chris Tomlin songs, you might want to try: "How Great Is Our God" & "Holy Is The Lord". Also, there's a lot of Hillsongs that also work like "Mighty To Save". Check out YouTube. There's a lot there, and some with instruction in how to play them (chords & arrangements). Hope this helps.

Thank you, I will check those suggestions out.

So much to choose from. In addition to those mentioned check out:

Enough (Chris Tomlin)
Everlasting God (Brenton Brown)
10,000 Reasons (Matt Redman)
All Who Are Thirsty (Brenton Brown)
From The Inside Out (Hillsong)
Lord I Need You (Matt Maher)
Multiplied (NeedToBreathe)
No Longer Slaves (Bethel)

I recommend going to YouTube and then looking for the k-love channel...there's quite a bit of cruft (k-love is basically top 40 radio), but you'll find some really good songs there too...mostly live acoustic renditions. I also recommend Cageless Birds on YouTube.

HI p…

Grace Like Rain is another song which mixes Amazing Grace lyrics and verse melody with a catchy chorus.

A few I've heard traditional churches using:
  • The Steadfast Love of the Lord Never Ceases
  • He Is Lord
  • As the Deer
  • I Am Covered Over With A Robe of Righteousness
  • I Have Decided

The word 'contemporary' is a sliding scale. None of the chorsuses I listed above are less than 25 years old, but they are used in many traditional churches who are thinking about moving a bit more contemporary.

Search 'hillsong' and 'highlands worship' on YouTube...should give you lots to work with. Although it may be a bit more on the contemporary side.

Lots of good ones mentioned above, here's some more -

Come, Now Is The Time To Worship
This Is Amazing Grace
All The People Said Amen
Come Into His Presence
Feels Like Redemption
Remind Me Who I Am
Say Amen
I Need A Miracle
