Default Stereo endpin jack?

I'm replacing the endpin jack in one of my guitars, I ran across a stereo/mono endpin jack. Will a stereo endpin jack allow a duel source pickup system to be installed with separate signals for eq'ing or is that yet another type of jack?

The jack should be fine but you will need a stereo lead.

I'm not quite sure what a stereo lead is, can you explain it please? thank you. Is it a balanced cable?

That endpin will allow you to blend two sources. You'll need a stereo or "TRS" cable to carry those two signals to a blender. The signals are delivered to the cable by the tip of the connector and an additional ring. I believe most have capacity to carry a third as well. Below is a link to that type of cable on MusiciansFriend. There's a wide variety of prices.

Personally, I use a Baggs LB6 & Pickup the World #54 passively and run them to a Baggs MixPro via a 3ft TRS cable. I blend them there and then send them out via a mono guitar cable to my DI or amp. You'll need some sort of blending preamp as well.

The jack in your guitar may already be stereo if it's a typical endpin jack

Beware. Many pickups use a TRS (tip/ring/sleeve) endpin jack not to permit stereo use but to sense whether to switch the preamp power on when a (mono) jack plug is inserted.

Thank you for the heads up. If what I'm going to be doing runs into problems, I'll have an idea of where to look.
