Sometimes it's just about the fun...
It's Friday night, been kind of a rough week for both of us so my wife and I go out for an early dinner on the way home from work; come home, she puts on a chick flick while I go to the music room/home office, close the door/fire up the Frontman 212R and P-90 LP goldtop, punch this up just for the heluvit and put the pedal to the metal:

Almost forgot how much I enjoy this stuff - for the guys of my generation this is how we learned to play lead guitar - nor realized just how good a surf axe a P-90 LP can be... Got a nice chilled bottle of 2011 Nissley Fantasy (yes, that really is the name) I've been saving... Life is good again... |

I do love good evening with the guitars. And yes, when you are playing for yourself it can be the most fun!

The Ventures backing tracks. You can find anything on Youtube.
A Les Paul on a Friday night is a great way to put a bad week behind you. Play on! |

same here as i've been working on a 64 bassman, 65 bassman with a 65 cab and 67 showman. i'd been using small wattage amps for quite a while now so it was interesting to play thru amps with the volume on 3 and the windows rattling. ha!
