Cost Effective Way To Record Clips For Teacher
I'm looking for a cost effective to record acoustic guitar clips to send to my teacher. Nothing fancy, just decent quality to get feedback on what to work on between lessons. Ideally something using a cell phone for simplicity. Something better than the phone mic but not top of the line. Hoping to email 30 second mp3 a couple times a week. What would be a buget option, middle option and higher end option?
Thank You TW |

Rode makes a stereo mic that plugs into an iPhone for under 100 dollars.

Purchase a dedicated handi-recorder. I have a bunch of portables, and I can recommend the Zoom H1 (under $100), but there are many that are cheaper.
No fuddling around with a separate mic for yor phone and when you're done you have a mp3 that can be USBed to your computer and e-mailed. |

A little off topic, just occured to me, if you are recording to an iPhone, what happens if you receive a call while recording?

I use my iPhone all the time to record both audio or video clips. Video on a smart phone? You can post directly to YouTube and just send the link. |

Yep. iPhone with the apogee mic is great. Post to YouTube and send the link. Both audio and video for analysis.
